Job Summary:
The General Manager (GM) for Island: GO! will have full responsibility for all facets of the company’s operations in Bermuda. This is a hands-on role that requires managing all aspects of the business independently, from daily operations to long-term strategic planning. The GM will be the sole representative of Island: GO! on the island and will be responsible for ensuring the business meets its financial targets while delivering exceptional service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management:
Independently manage all daily operations of the rideshare service, including dispatch, driver coordination, and customer service.
Oversee the maintenance and readiness of the fleet, ensuring all vehicles meet safety and cleanliness standards.
Monitor operational metrics and implement strategies to improve efficiency and service quality.
Customer Experience:
Serve as the primary contact for customers, managing inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Actively gather and analyze customer feedback to identify areas for service improvement.
Develop and implement local marketing strategies to boost ridership and enhance the brand's presence.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure that all operations comply with local laws and regulations, including licensing, insurance, and safety standards.
Maintain positive relationships with local authorities and stay informed on any regulatory changes that may affect operations.
Ensure all documentation and legal requirements are up to date and in compliance.
Strategic Planning and Growth:
Develop and execute a growth strategy tailored to the specific market conditions on Grand Cayman.
Explore and capitalize on new business opportunities, partnerships, and service expansions.
Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to maintain a competitive edge.
Community Engagement:
Represent Island: GO! within the local community, fostering strong relationships with residents, businesses, and stakeholders.
Engage with the community through local events and initiatives to enhance the company’s reputation and presence on the island.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
Experience:
At least 2 years of experience, preferably in transportation, logistics, or a related field.
Demonstrated ability to manage all aspects of a business independently.
Experience in financial management, including budgeting and operational planning.
Skills:
Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Proficiency with business management software and tools.
Ability to work autonomously and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
